‘హ్యాపీడేస్‌’ నుంచే తమన్నాపై కన్నేసాను అంటున్న అల్లు అర్జున్

Badrinath

Tamanna’s skin show gone wasted

Milk white beauty Tamanna shocked everyone with her skin show in Badrinath movie. Although she didn’t do any sleazy show, she did her best to reveal as much as she can. Tamanna exposed her midriff throughout the film without leaving much to the imagination.

Tamanna got drenched in rain, she was clad in mini skirts and what not? This is her best skin show till date, say observers. But sadly, Tamanna’s show didn’t pay off as the film is being written off by one and all. Even though the film registered good collections in the first weekend it is likely to get fizzled out in the coming days.

Badrinath is a very high budget movie and such talk will not help its prospects. However, Tamanna has seen that this film doesn’t do much damage to her glowing career. She has Oosaravelli and Racha in pipeline and that means she could happily wait for those films to strike the screens.

Badrinath: This story just doesn’t work

After playing lover boy and boy-next-door roles, Allu Arjun gets into action mode as the sword-wielding warrior Badri in Badrinath.
His daredevil action sequences and electrifying dance numbers add some excitement, but the far-fetched plot and lacklustre scripting puts a dampener on the film. Moreover, the attempt to fuse a love story and a pious theme just doesn’t work.
The film begins with a narration of frequent attacks on Hindu temples and a decision is taken by the spiritual leaders to train young warriors to protect the shrines from terrorists and fanatics. A spiritual guru, Bhishma Narayan, (Prakash Raj) is entrusted with the job of training a bunch of kids in martial arts while at the same time inculcating spiritual values.
He is most impressed with a low-caste kid Badri (Allu Arjun) and grooms him to be a warrior and assigns him to be the protector of the sacred Badrinath temple.
It is to this temple that an atheist (Tamanna) is brought by her grandfather. Initially she is at logger-heads with Badri, but then predictably falls in love with him. However, Bhishma Narayan wants Badri to become the head of the math and to do this he must not marry but take sanyas.
Allu Arjun shrugs off his lover boy image and gets a beefed-up look. Tamanna gives ample proof of her acting skills and looks sensuous in the song sequences. Prakash Raj, Kelly Dorjee and Ashwini are adequate, but comedians Brahmanandam and Krishna Bhagwan hugely disappoint.
Vinayak gets some fast-paced action and there are some eye-pleasing visuals, but the love angle is unconvincing. At the end we don't know whether the saint-warrior took the hand of Tamanna because he loves her or because he is just obeying the orders of his spiritual guru.

Badrinath Review – Allu Arjun Movie

Badrinath Movie Review – Badrinath Review – Badrinath Rating, talk, Telugu Movie Review: Allu Arjun's latest movie badrinath raised so many expectations due to its package and publicity. The film looked like a blockbuster written all over it. Even the makers confidence suggested the same. With aggressive publicity Badrinath is surrounded by huge hype and the expectations continued to scale new heights by the day. So, is it up to the expectations? Did it live up to the hype? Let's uncover Badrinath review...

Story:

Badri (Allu Arjun) is one of the disciples of Bheeshma (Prakash Raj), who is a guru of ancient martial arts. Badrinath grows up into a strong fighter under Bheeshma's rigorous training. He will be appointed as the 'kshetra palakudu' (protector) of Badrinath temple. Alakananda (Tamanna), an atheist comes to Badrinath along with her grandfather. Badri learns that she is in big trouble due to Sarkar (Kelly Dorjee). Alakananda slowly realizes the greatness of Badrinath and turns a devotee. She also falls for Badri who doesn't reciprocate to her love. Bheeshma decides to make Badri his successor by handing over the responsibility of Takshasila. For that Badri has to remain bachelor forever. Not aware of his guru's decision and Alakananda's real feelings towards him Badri gives her a word that he will help her to visit Barinath temple again as she has to do that to make her wish come true. Alakananda prays Lord Badrinath to help her succeed in her love. Bheeshma takes a word from Badrinath that he would take up his duties as a true successor to him. So who wins? How does Badrinath overcomes this contrasting situation?

Analysis:

Badrinath starts on a bright note. The introduction of temples and the visuals are splendid. But immediately it takes a predictable path with some poorly etched characters and scenes. You will hardly find Badrinath being troubled in the training. The training process looks just ordinary. The confrontation between hero and heroine is regular. Nothing new or interesting. The film moves on with a silly flashback episode revealing the troubles of heroine. From then on the movie moves on with a sole reason, that is to find the interval point.

In between there is a fight where Badri goes and kills tens of terrorists with his sword. He simply evades all the bullets with a swing of his sword. It is over the top action which would not be liked by the die hard fans even. Interval episode is too predictable and the action episode goes on for ages during that period. Second half starts on a dull note with hardly any engaging scenes. Song after song follows with a heavily censored fight sequence in between. The film heads to climax with literally nothing happening post interval. Climax is a big let down.

This film is set in current era and that is the biggest logical error as you wouldn't find security and police around Badrinath temple. Even when hundreds of people gets killed there is no sign of police anywhere. The hero goes on a killing rampage in a railway station and the director doesn't care of bringing cops into the scene. Right from the concept of keeping the protagonist as protector to Badrinath temple, this film lacks logic in everything. So called commercial elements didn't work due to weak script.

This film doesn't have any comparisons with Magadheera as the public believed but it has stark resemblance to Shakti movie starring NTR. Like that this film too falls flat on most aspects except for grandeur and a couple of songs.

Performances:

Allu Arjun does the same and speaks like he does in every film despite his awkward costumes and hairstyle. He didn't try to get into the skin of the character as it is no different from his usual roles. His dances are the highlight and probably the only selling factor for this film. Tamanna liberally showed off her skin and helped her part to up the masala dose. Prakash Raj is Okay but his makeup is pretty bad. Kelly Dorjee is wasted and the woman who played his wife is over the top all the time. The man who played their son is a miscast. Raghubabu is regular and repeating Indra's comedy track with Brahmanandam didn't work. Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani didn't have much scope.

Tehnicalities:

Keeravani's songs lack freshness but are good on screen. Thanks to electrifying dances of Allu Arjun. Background score is good but Keeravani failed to recreate his Magadheera magic. Cinematography is good. The visuals of Badrinath stays with you. Art work is fine in parts. Editing is Okay. Story and screenplay written by Chinni Krishna lacks the punch and freshness. Dialogues are mediocre. Action part is another minus as all the fights looked artificial. Production values are good.

VV Vinayak disappoints big time and one cannot completely put blame on him. The problem is with the lackluster script. He couldn't do much with it. He failed in incorporating commercial ingredients too.

Plus Points:

- Badrinath backdrop
- Allu Arjun dances
- Tamanna's glamor
- Few songs

Minus points:

- Story and screenplay
- Over the top action
- Lack of entertainment
- Weak second hour and poor climax

Final Word: Badrinath – This film does justice to the first three letters in its title.

Box office predictions:

Badrinath lets the audience down who go to the movie expecting a magnum opus. Even if you are in for a regular commercial potboiler it fells short of expectations. It may survive in mass centers due to the never ending fights and mass frenzy songs. It needs a miracle to be a break even at the box office.

Badrinath Review rating: 2.5/5
Banner: Geetha Arts
Cast: Allu Arjun, Tamannaah Bhatia, Prakash Raj
Music: M.M.Keeravani
Cinematography: Ravi Varman
Story: Chinni Krishna
Producer: Allu Aravind
Director: V.V.Vinayak

Poor script derails 'Badrinath'

Film: Badrinath; Cast: Allu Arjun, Tamanna, Prakash Raj, Kelly Dorjee, Ashwini Kalsekar, Brahmanandam, Krishna Bhagawan and others; Producer: Allu Arvind; Director: V.V.Vinayak; Story; Chinni Krishna; Camera: Ravi Verman; Music: Keervani; Art Director: Anand Sai; Rating: **
Allu Arjun is a really talented actor. But his home production "Badrinath" - made with a whopping Rs. 35 crore and with the best of the technicians in the Telugu film industry - is a dampener.
It is a colossal attempt with a nonsensical storyline and a boring narration. This film is another big let down from Arjun after "Varudu" and "Vedam".
The technical team has done a superb job, but the main fault of the film lies in its hackneyed and boneless script. Ravi Varman's camera work, the sets designed by Anand Sai and even the music by maestro Keervani stand apart in this film. The technical standards of the film are really high.
But the storyline is utterly ridiculous and the screenplay totally inconsistent.
Badri, who stays in the Badrinath shrine, is a follower of a guru, Bheeshma Narayana, who has adopted him from his childhood to train him to be a Kshethra Palaka, a protector of shrines. Enters Alakananda, an athiest, who has to inevitably come to Badrinath to fulfill her sick grandfather's wishes. Badrinath infuses religious beliefs in Alakananda. Alaka loves Badri which is unknown to him.
Later, the guru calls Badri's parents to seek their approval to make the young warrior as his successor which also needs the young man to practice celibacy. This is also unknown to Badri. Finally when the villains try to take away Alakananda forcibly from the shrine, Badri saves the temple and also his lover. Even the guru realises that "love is supreme."
The weak climax sequence ends abruptly mainly because of chopping off of many action portions by the Censor Board which saw the film twice to certify it for 'Adults only'.
The comedy portions have been added as an afterthought and it becomes apparent that the script writer has just rehashed the comedy sequences from mega star Chiranjeevi's blockbuster "Indra". Even established comedy artists like Brahmanandam and Dharmavarapu fail to bring in the much needed laughs.
Allu Arjun as usual is excellent in his dances and fights, but the script does not offer him any opportunity to emote. Tamanna, who has been quite liberal in her sex appeal, looks bubbly on screen in songs and some sequences. Prakash Raj as usual is a perfect choice for the role of the guru. His voice is the main attraction. The villain's group has lesser screen space, but it is Ashwini Kalsekar who shines in her role.
Despite the strength in technical department, the much awaited "Badrinath" fails to make an impact on the audience. The only reason is Chinni Krishna's illogical story and a bad screenplay.
Watch "Badrinath" if you want to see Arjun's dances and Tamanna's looks.

Bunny romances wife, freezes on screen

I feel some awkwardness,” says Allu Arjun talking about doing romantic scenes; this is especially after his marriage to Sneha. Uncharacteristically shy, he says that he is still getting to know his wife of just three months and is reluctant to enact romantic scenes on screen.
More used to daredevil action sequences and intricate dances, Allu Arjun found himself a bit “frozen” while doing romantic scenes with Tamanna for Badrinath. “I never experienced such a feeling earlier in my decade-old career: this put me in quite a unique predicament,” the actor says. “I felt awkward while getting intimate with Tamanna,” confesses the famed on-screen lover-boy. Thanking Tamanna for helping him out, he says, “Usually, I make my co-stars comfortable but this time it was the other way round as Tamanna put me at ease so I could do a good job. Also, I reminded myself that I am an actor by profession, so I need to keep such inhibitions aside.”
The actor is excited about playing a “messiah” in Badrinath. “I play the role of a samurai warrior and learnt how to wield a sword for some tough stunts. It was a breathtaking experience.” Since Badrinath is his home production, Allu Arjun was involved with the film at several levels. “I had to handle two demanding jobs — an actor and producer and I think I have done a decent job,” he avers.
While the idea of remaking Magadheera in Hindi was shelved, Allu Arjun believes Badrinath has the potential to attract a pan-Indian audience. “We couldn’t remake Magadheera because we couldn’t find a committed actor and director for the Hindi version. But Badrinath has a universal theme and could be remade in any language, since it’s a romantic story of a warrior on a mythological scale.”
Romance is growing closer home. The superstar is getting to know Sneha’s likes and dislikes. “It’s too early to reel out her wish list but gradually we are getting to know each other… but we really realised that we are made for each other when we spent time in the Maldives after our wedding.”
Alongside, the actor is also growing in stature. With some big offers on hold, Allu Arjun says he will take a call on these after observing the response to Badrinath. “Everything depends on this magnum opus and it could even change the course of my career,” he says, before signing off.

Tamannaah Launches Woman's World.

Badrinath - Allu Arjun & Tamannaah's Telugu Movie New Trailer

Badrinath - Allu Arjun & Tamannaah's Telugu Movie New Trailer

Venghai’s track list is out!

Director Hari and Dhanush’s forthcoming flick ‘Venghai’ is much-awaited due to reasons many. In the decade long career of Hari’s, out of his ten movies nine have been box-office hits and even blockbusters. He can be rightly referred to as K-town’s master of commercial entertainers.
After bagging the National Award, fans’ expectations from Dhanush has become multi-fold. The movie stars Tamannah opposite Dhanush and the duo’s earlier ‘Padikathavan’ was a good entertainer. The music is composed by DSP who is known for his fast and peppy numbers.
Now ‘Venghai’s track list is out, and looks like we can surely wait for yet another mass-masala action flick soon. The lyrics are penned by Viveka and Hari and there are five tracks in this flim.
While “Dhenam Dhenam…” is sung by Benny Dayal, it is said that there are rap interludes that are written and sung by Baba Sehgal. “Yenna Solla Pore…” is sung by DSP himself, who is best at his peppy numbers, so we can guess that this might be one of those fast-paced tracks.
“Kaalangathale…” is sung by Karthik and Roshini, “Orey Oru…” by Tippu and Harini. Mukesh and Suchitra have lent their voices for “Pudikale Pudikuthu…”
The story revolves around how an angry young man should never get to the usage of weapons to vent his anger.
The audio launch of ‘Venghai’ will be held on June 10 and will sure be a star-studded glitzy affair.

Tamannaah did stunts without a doop for Badrinath

Don’t be surprised about the heading thinking that its Allu Arjun who is the one risked for the movie Badrinath but buzz is that Tamannaah has also did some stunts without a doop for a risky shot of jumping from a Bridge and the unit is very proud of her for her brave stunt.
Bunny is acting as a traditional Indian fighter in the movie produced under the banner Geetha Arts by producer Allu Araving, movies is based on the sacred place Badrinadh and music is by M M Keervani, cinematography by Ravi Varman.
